Taking the kids paintings and turning them into a collaborative artwork. Almost there… I hope!
The unknown can be daunting. Don’t let that stop you from dreaming big.
It is easy to sit back and not comment in a meeting for fear of saying the wrong thing, or steer clear of applying for a job because you are not quite sure if you meet all the criteria. As often as possible try to put yourself in situations where you feel uncomfortable – it is there that you will learn the most.
Sometimes you just need to say things out loud in order for them to seem half as bad.
Be brave today and say NO to one thing that you would have normally said YES to. Sometimes saying yes, yes, yes will win you the congeniality award, but it can’t come at the cost of your own happiness all of the time.
Falling hurts. You usually end up battered and bruised, even if only metaphorically. If you reflect though, it is usually these moments that provide the greatest life lessons.
Sometimes we spend too much time focusing on what we are not. You’re better to focus on what you are and put your strengths to good use.
You will never be everything to everyone; it is impossible – even for the stars. Wasting time trying to be someone or something that is too far from your reach prevents you from taking advantage of what might be right in front of you!
Life is too short to waste time on people who don’t make you feel good about who you are.
I did this for a really long time and I truly wish I had learnt the hard way sooner… you don’t have to be friends with everyone and they don’t have to be friends with you.
Pick the people who you invite into your inner circle wisely, because they should be grateful to be there and you should be grateful that they are.
